I just had a crash course on how to make pleated drapes.I haven't sewed them in years +

Great Job.. a BIG High Five for the Drapes.. I was a chicken and used pleater tape when I made some years ago..and the rest of the story is I would be lazy and do it again.;-) my hat is off to you with a big bow..
