I used cotton fabrics on the front , a thin piece of batting in the middle and flannel fabric on the back for absorbency. hugs, Susan

you can also put a piece of blackout lining in between because it is waterproof so nothing can go through to get on your clothes or anyone elses. i always put that in between when I make burp cloths and changing pads. It is washable and won't shrink. Roberta
