My outdoor chair pads were looking pretty rough they are old but still in very good shape.............I was hoping to find some on clearance @ the end of the season but not having any luck. So I used my 60% off coupon @ JoAnn's & bought some outdoor fabric even let hubby pick it out. A few days later we found these automan's for $3 & thought we were buying two blue ones. Only to take them out of the box & find one blue & one green turns out they are a terrific match! Now the chairs are quite nice again & all done in under an hour!

Who carries outdoor thread, and what is it made of? My cushions looked bad last year and I've been too lazy to redo them or buy new yet.
Nice His and Hers set.
well I am not sure what I can tell you but this is what it says on the thread: Coats Outdoor Polyester. It is quite a heavy thread & it feels like it has been coated with something? It was on sale but I'm sorry I can't remember what it cost? I did get it @ JoAnn's if that helps you @ all? Anyway my cushions looked really gross & now they look brand new lol worth it for me anyway
Maybe I could embroidery HIS & HERS in the green thread outdoor stuff?
I bought outdoor thread too, at walmart, I didn't know they had it, it's 4.97 a spool at our store. It's the coats and clark brand. Colors were pretty basic, off white, green red and navy , walmart.com may have it.

Nicely done, makes a great set. I wonder how you did that seam to divide the seat and back parts, could you manoeuvre the cushion under the needle? I need to cover my dilapidated cushions but don't know if I could do that seam in the middle, so I am procrastinating.

I did an envelope style case first then the fold is a crease so I just followed the line slowly I folded the seat in half & held it in place with jumbo pegs. I hope that this helps Thanks Martine, ~hugs~
If yours are dilapidated then what have you got to loose by trying right?

These cushions you've made look lovely. Wondered did you use a printed pattern or did you make one? Thanks for sharing your work. :~D

Your chairs look fantastic! I think to colours were meant to be or was it devine intervention that gave you the same colours in ottmans you could always embroider on 2 headrest doilys..

Thanks Sharon it was a new thing for me I had never heard of it before. ~hugs~
It was new to me too Loralye, we were sewing on a tent so was searching for upholstery thread when I discovered it just last week. So that was exactly what I needed.
