It looks wonderful "sewred" - I wonder what her previous life was like? It's always good to know the providence of antique items. Great job on it - hope you can find a nice place in your home for her. Love Chris, Newcastle, Australia.

Hi Miss Chris! :-)
Wow! What a find!!! My Mother has a Victorian Platform Rocker that looks very much like this. Many of these were out of walnut wood. Enjoy, Great job for rescuing and restoring it!!

Lovely chair, if only she could talk and tell you her pedigree, the things she's seen, done and who sat in her, as well as the time she has lived. I love antiques...that's good because I am one!

It's beautiful! I love Victorian style furniture. Wish you lived near me, we could keep your hubby busy with all the fixer-uppers my hubby and I have.
