Yes, it is......but I won't knock it until I've tried it. I do (used to before sodium problem) salt my apples.

Yummy. And congrats to you on a clean bill of health from the dentist. Now you can reward yourself with applesauce. So much better than a lollipop.

They look yummy!
Sweet friend, you wear me out just reading about your day! You should think about this list when your doctor says "get more rest"
I hope you get to sit and enjoy the applesauce now.
Hugs

Wow Loralye-you have been busy, busy, busy with all the canning and freezing. I wish I had half that time and energy! I spent about 6 hrs. this past Sunday putting up the rest of our tomatoes and peppers. I ended up with 15 more pints of tomato sauce and I don't know how many freezer bags of peppers-my back, neck and feet were screaming-had a darned sinus headache throughout the whole process. But I am glad it's all done. I didn't bother posting pictures this time-but it was a table top full of raw veggies to start with. Supposed to go get apples-possibly this coming weekend from my husbands big apple orchard-waiting for the HoneyCrisps to be ready-I may try canning some pie/dessert filling too-I have never canned apples before-I froze them last year-didn't care for them done that way :( ~linda~

oh you are very fortunate to have an orchard, I would be in apple heaven lol. I know just how you feel too as I also have this terrible head cold & it was my arm that was screaming from all the stirring lol! Congrats on getting it all done, it is a lot to do in one day but so worth it in the end & this way you know what you are eating!~hugs~

Fabulous lot of apple pie filling there Loralye, and good new from your dentist. I worked as a Dental receptionist for 10 years. Loved it! You will be set for ages with all of the canning you've been doing. Well done, love Chris
