I have been putting off this project for some time as well... I purchased a black rayon jacket (unlined) and I thought of embroidering on it, but not sure what?
It's not a heavy jacket. Do you ladies have any ideas?
The jacket has a narrow collar and a seam down the center back.
I brought it a loooong time ago, used at a yard sale.

How about a 4x4 design repeated down one side in one or more bright colors.

It's a pretty jacket. If you are nervous about embroidering on the jacket itself, make the designs you choose free standing and stitch them on.

Oh, I hadn't thought of that, thanks for the tip:)
I embroidered a design on tulle to try out on the neck line of dress. the tulle worked to keep the design together but still able to see how design would look and where it look best. Good luck. Cheri

Oh, gosh! I see a silver swan. Embroidery Online has a sale on some designs. You can pick a really lovely one for 1 or 2 dollars.
