I was inspired by Carolyn's (Noah) Maple Leaves. Just had to give them a try. Photo 1. Was done using water soluble with the threads in between the 2 layers. I thought it looked a little plain so I hand machined the veins in. I have not washed the soluble out yet, but I am sure it will hold together.

Photo 2. I just had to have a go sewing on plastic, I found a plastic bag and used that. I am so pleased with the finished result. Wouldn't you know it I threw out 2 large sheets of plastic only a couple of days ago thinking I would never use it for any thing.

I like your idea adding veins to the leaf. I'm going to add it to the design as well. Thank you! Hugs, Yoriko

I LOVE THESE. I like using WSS and snips to make coasters. Simply mount felt on back of them. These would look great as coasters also/Lillian

Thanks. I am pleased she liked the idea and added the veins to the design. It took me a while to carefully stitch by machine.

Thanks. I am pleased with the way they turned out. Have been looking for a green plastic bag. That would give another effect to the design. Never dreamt I would ever embroider on a plastic bag. lol

Thanks. Yes try one. They do not take long to sew out. Takes longer to trim after. Shirley

Thanks. I felt they were not quite finished without the veins. Great that Yoriko has added the veins now.

Yoriko has beat you to it. She had the veins added within in few hours of seeing mine. It will be quicker than the way I did mine. Glad you like them as well. Hugs Shirley
