LOL-LOL- Smart lady,...I wonder what she used to mark her finger, so it won't get on the fabric?... gotta love her imagination.

sharpi pen.it will not mark the fabric but will stay on your finger for quite a while

use a sharpi pen. it markes the finger but not the fabric and will not smudge once dried.

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best (and cheapest). AND you don't have to search for the "tools" when you get up for something and then sit back down again. :) Thank you. I love this idea.

for those who are wondering what pen to use for this method of measuring its a sharpie or a fine point indelible pen. you can remove the marks from your finger useing bleach. or just let it fade away in a day by simply washing your hands.

hope this will help

alternatly put a plaster on your thumb and mark that instead

Seriously CUTE!!
I cannot measure by eye. So all my sewing measurements are done with lots of chalk or some sort of marker. Hadn't thought of doing this.
