My daughter Charlotte has been having jewelry (silver) lessons. This is her first project and her own design. I am totally amazed at what she has achieved. She just loved working with the blowtorch. The chain she did not make - there are limits I suppose........

What a fantastic art form! What an awesome first project. She did a fabulous job! I think that silver working would be loads of fun. I'm hoping to get set up in glass blowing and lamp-work beading soon. I have most of the stuff. I just need the colored glass and some space to work! I hope she stays with it. It looks like she has some talent there!

thank you Deanne - she is very artistic, paints and does pottery but useless at sewing!! Good luck with glass blowing - would love to know how you do. Sarah

That's a great design. I love the sawing and hammering bit but find soldering quite hard to get perfectly right. As far as the chain is concerned making and soldering all those rings may be a way to practice but is sooo boring! Even my teachers bought those factory made.

Thank you Martine. Charlotte was not keen to put on the little 'drops' with the stones but her teacher wanted her to use some stones.
