So happy that things are starting to get better, it is so diffficult for a parent to watch as our chidren face aversity but this makes them stronger and us as well. You have been a strong support for her during all of this and I am sure it will pay off and she will find happiness again.

I am so happy for you, and your family, Sarah. I know what it is, to want things to work out and life to just be easier, for our children. I am also proud of Emma, for having the courage to recognize and leave, the abusive relationship. So many women do not and the results can be deadly. My husbands niece was killed by her husband. She had left him, had a court restraining order, and he still killed her. I am sure you have told your daughter that God has better and wonderful plans for her, if she will (continue to) trust Him. My daughter (Avery's mom) once thought when her husband left, 'who would want to marry a woman with 2 children and one of them severly handicapped, if their own daddy didn't want to stay?" She now has a wonderful husband, that helps and tends to Avery, almost-lol- as good as we do. Can't get the hair done-lol-I am sure Emma being a young woman, especially, wants a man in her life. Who doesn't want a companion/loving relationship. But if it is not to be, I am certain she is a strong woman and can make it on her own. Just look who she has as a mom to encourage her! I remember praying for Emma when she was retrenched and of course for Joshua all during his recovery. God has his eye on Emma and I'm happy that she is blooming and growing. She is a very resilient woman and I'm sure I know where that comes from.

Oh Sarah I know exactly how you feel, we mothers are up & down with our children,no matter how old they get. I well remember all you have been through with her .You have, like a wonderful mother been there for her through thick and thin. Now what joy and elation you feel. That's a great promotion!! I hope she has a great time on her trip, and you are a proud mom as any would be. Sorry she's had a couple of not so good relationships. As long as she is happy, that's what is important.
