I have some fine wool suiting that I would like to make a jacket with. I have a pattern for a tailored blazer that I intend using. I have not tailored a jacket in many many years, I'm sure it was in the days when cotton was the only thread option (I did it for my GCE -Yes GCE not GCSE exam!). What thread would I use today cotton or synthetic? If and when I get it finished I just may post a picture of it!

I really would appreciate your advice.

I always use cotton for natural fabrics, but I'm not a thread snob or an expert, so take it for what it's worth. ;)

Thanks for your input. Cotton was my instinct too but just needed to check what current thinking is.
