Have been home all day with a head cold and decided to sew out a lovely Ainslee Fox Disco dress for my grand-daughter Jasana. This is the fabric for Monster High "Draculaura" that Jasana requested. I bought it from Spoonflower, Inc. 2810 Meridian Parkway, Suite 176 Durham, NC 27713, USA +1 (919) 886-7885. I can't fault their service. I ordered the fabric on the 27th September and it arrived at my place on Tuesday morning only 10 days later 7th October! I am very impressed. I haven't finished off the hem as yet, and as I have run out of the skull fabric I will put a plain black band on the hemline. I am thrilled with the finished dress and I know Jasana will love it. Lovely work Chris and yet another happy grand daughter. I have a friend who buys a lot of Spoonflower fabric to use in the UK. She gets so much that she has to pay customs duty

Thank you Chris, I'm a little behind with the kids, yes she is gorgeous. My little girl is 25 and the next youngest in the family is 19. Hopefully someday we'll be blessed with grandchildren.

Maybe you can answer a question for me. What is combed cotton on their site? Is it what we would call flannelette?
What weight of fabric did you purchase?
I tried doing some research and some comments I have read say it is a very thin fabric like Voile.

Hi Babash, I ordered the combed cotton. It is a lovely weight cotton (not flannelette). It's a softer weight cotton than what I've used before and it sewed up beautifully. I had no dramas whatsoever with it. I purchased 2 yards of the pink and black stripe and a fat quarter of each of the Bat and Skull fabric. It was just enough for the dress. I should have bought a bit more of the skull fabric as I wanted to put a band around the base of the dress and forgot about that when I ordered it. I will just put a plain piece of black now.
