You are not going to believe this - I (by mistake) had left my emb machine plugged in and on all day. It has suddenly turned itself on and is now sewing away. Will I damage the machine if I leave it on all night? Too scared to turn it off if I can get another day embroidering before it goes to repair.

I left my old Singer on all night anytime I had a huge design to do as it would not "remember" where it left off the night before and would "reset" the center to a different center if I turned it off.
Just make sure nothing is in the way for the fans to do their job.

Not sure, but you are taking it in anyway...and it probably has a sleep mode...mine does...keep the room cool and go for it...

Thank you Lillian - it is good to have some advice from people who know these things.

Wonderful That it's working now! It had only pretended to be broke to take a rest as you almost wore out it's little embroidery foot...the little toes were hot and sore...from all the stitching you put it through. Hope you get done before it shuts down again. :-)

I do not think it will shut down by itself. I am just finishing for the night and I will leave it on.

Go for it. My machine has stitched away for a couple of hours with no issues. It didn't even miss me.

Oh, but we miss you when you are away!

I often forget to turn it off when I need to do something else (like cooking a meal) or leave it on on purpose when I am halfway through a design as my machine does not remember where it was - and I often forget to write down the stitch number. As long as the fan can does its work properly it's fine.
You might be able to finish your bags before takling it in - that would be a relief!

I am really hoping that I can finish. I was up at 4.30 this morning - have done well - machine is going like a bird. Just does not like being switched off!!
