I have just been watching our ABC (Australian Broadcasting Commission) Television station - listening to our Prime Minister Tony Abbott and our leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten send our loving thoughts, prayers and best wishes to our fellow men and women in Canada on the death of the Canadian Soldier Nathan Cirillo. It was great to see our Chairman Bronwyn Bishop speak also and acknowledge the Canadian High Commissioner to Australia, Michael Small being in the Chamber. Australia is shocked about this threat to our Canadian allies and our prayers go out to the families concerned. Love Chris

Thanks Chris for this balanced comment on a bad situation. IT's something to think about in your daily life. I noticed for the first time I was very uncomfortable in my favorite produce market a few weeks ago, because there were a large number of Middle Eastern looking men with beards shopping. I guess I hadn't realized they have a large presence in that small, Southern university town. First, I felt foolish for noticing them and then I hoped that didn't register to them as my staring or anything! Life has gotten complicated! I just want us all to play nicey-nice!! (Naïve, I know.)

Terrorists are popping up everywhere, it just boggles my mind, why people can't leave other people alone. I don't try to inflict my beliefs on others why must they? It's a sad world and hope they can stop these people before they do more atrocities to mankind. My prayers to our fellow Canadians, and anywhere terror exists.

It is very sad here. The people here in Ontario lined the highway from Ottawa to Hamilton to show support for this young man, as the hearse carrying his body went by. They have started a trust fund for his young son, he was a single father. The funeral is tuesday, it will be very large.
