Monogrammed Bath Towels for Sister-in-Law
Her bathroom has all these bright colors and she bought the towels for me to monogram. There's two of each color.
The font is Chi Embossed Font from Designsbyjuju. I love it! I used the 6 inch size. The 4 inch size works well on a hand towel. The largest size is 7 inch. I chose 6 inch becoz I have a 6*6 hoop.

Lovely work. Love how they are all placed in same position on the towels. Do you use a template for placement? Lyn

I do have templates (perfect placements by Designs in Machine Embroidery), but I found them not too helpful because your font is not always the size they recommend. I simply fold the towels in half lengthways (right sides together). Line up the top of the band with the bottom of the hoop, and line up the vertical center of the towel with the center with the hoop (not right on, leave about 1/8 to 1/4 inch depending how thick your towel is). It turned out to be fast and quite accurate.
Thank you for explaining. You idea definitely works.

Very nice! Your SIL will love them! I have never embroidered towels. Can you tell me what kind of stabilizers you use? Do you need to put a stabilizer on top as well?

I used (fabric type) water soluble stabilizer(wash-n-gone) at the bottom (some suggest cutaway if you don't mind the look) and for sure you need to use water soluble topping(film type).
