Thanks to a few Cuties, I was able to find a poodle to make for my daughter's poodle skirt for Halloween. Since her friends are dressing as Harry Potter characters, she is going to represent Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter as a teenager. I used Sewterific's poodle applique and added the hat and goggles I cut from the Carousel Steampunk Tiger from Urban Threads. The picture of my daughter was just so I could make sure the skirt and black lace underskirt would work. She might do some editing of the look before Halloween. I'm sending her a pink bow for her hair today.

Thank you all! My daughter is smart too and has found a great group of kids at college that are responsible and fun. I can't wish for much more than that since she's not home anymore for me to watch over.:)

I'm so glad it turned out so well. Really stands out on the pink. Do they know that JK Rowling is going to release a new story about Dolores Umbridge on Halloween at Pottermore.com? (Yes, I've read them all)

Yes, they know. My daughter was originally going to be a Steampunk Pink Lady from Grease, but changed it so it fit with her friends' theme of Harry Potter. The costume idea didn't change, just the name. :) The story is only going to be available as an online read only, I believe. It'll be funny to read for sure.

Fun! Great to see the difference from the felt poodle skirt my mother made for me in the 1950s. She will so enjoy this! Thanks for showing us.

My daughter wanted bright and shiny! My MIL couldn't believe that I didn't make it from felt either. It would have saved the hassle of hemming.

Forgot to mention the front goggle lens is glow-in-the-dark thread. Just a tiny bit, but an unexpected surprise.
