We returned home yesterday evening after a lovely stay with Sue and Mike Dewsbury and Meg the dog. There was much talking, laughter plus enjoyable walks. Sue also initiated me into fsl which is something I have not tried out. It was interesting to see her machine in action as it is a Janome and I have Brother machines. All in all pretty much the same but with differences. It was very interesting to see some of Sues creations and be able to touch them. Sue took us round Gainsborough Old Hall which is near them she is a excellent guide too. Should any one be ever near there go and see it yourself otherwise look at the link below.
When Sue and Mike had visited our home earlier this year she passed some fabric on that had been Scotties. One piece seemed familiar but it was on our return journey when we stopped at my brothers house and I went into their kitchen and the sight of the curtains reminded me where I had seen the fabric before. Its also made into cushion covers and a small table cloth. Yesterday on the final part of our journey I visited a supplier and increased my tea towel and bag stash to embroider on. So if I am missing from here for a while I just might be embroidering on the 30 tea towels I got.
Thanks again to Sue and Mike for a great weekend.
How lovely to get to be with Sue and Mike and see the sights and also having a look at Sue's creations. Isn't it wonderful to be able to meet up with Cuties from around the world? Love Chris
It sounds as if ya'll had great fun and helped the daughter too. Wonderful mum. :)
