I haven't been very good at adding tags to my projects lately and I have resolved to improve! It really is helpful when you are trying to search.
One thing I have noticed is that some people are trying much harder than I to add tags, but that they are making a mistake which is easily rectified. If you want to tag a project as "In the hoop" and you type that in in the tags box, it will come out as three separate tags which are of no use at all. The tag mustn't have any spaces so use hyphens - or better still simply use "ITH" Similarly you can't tag a project with the digitiser's name as two separate words.
Apologies if I haven't explained this very well - just look through the projects section and you will see what I mean. There are some great examples of well tagged posts.
I was going to post this in Q & A as it is about this site and how it works, but I thought more people would see it here.
I do tag the items I make from you as Sue...everyone that has been here a while knows Sue. It might be better for me to go back and edit those posts and include your user name instead.
It has been mentioned before, but got lost in this section. You are right, Q&A might be the better option.
