What to sew for christmas gift for my boss : would like to sew something (gave her already once a towel with name one it) but now don't know exactly. I was thinking a coffee mug pad, but I noticed people find them too cute to put their cup on ! , an apron : not sure if she does the cooking since she is always staying late at the office, a napking box : but does that mean it tells her I want to cry at her office ?, so any ideas are welcome ( but not too complex once, I far too behind with sewing christmas presents)

My suggestion is to cover a notebook with her name/initials on or something that is suitable for her

I wa thinking about that but she has the original apple cover. Don't know if she would like to change that

By notebook I meant the paper variety but... shows my age

If you are old I'm right up there next to you, cause I knew what you meant! :-P

If she is a coffee drinker, the mug rug idea is a good one. Add a coffee cozy or wrap/sleeve and that will be a nice gift. Hugs. Nan W

What about a nice tote bag with her name or her favourite flower embroidered on it

I'd go for a covered notebook or diary. Lots of scope for embroidery, but quite quick to do.

Make the coffee mug rug and put the design on one side the other side I usually put a printed design on it. Like If I made a wine design I would put corks printed on the material or coffee design would have coffee bean material on the other. They can flip it to put the coffee on the printed side and keep the embroidered side clean. Suzanne

Thanks for the tips, I'm think I will go for the mug pad with reverse side or maybe a cover for glasses. Will post the result in Projects tab
