Let them push the button to start the embroidery design. My husband marveled at the ease. It took some of the mystery away, though. My family thinks I'm talented and if they only knew how wonderful my machine presents my "skills". Lol

Since it's close to Thanksgiving and Christmas could you do a few fabric ornaments cut them out and put them on ribbon for the recipient to hang...or leave them on a piece of fabric as a small wall hanging? What ever you decide I'm sure everyone will have a great time and it will be loads of fun! Hugs

Hand stitching first followed by hand machines then the treadle. Something I have always found when showing the embroidery machine off is to let people embroider their name out on anything. Our machines are robust enough to be played about with. Usually those watching are amazed and fascinated by what is going on. Have fun as they will have a great evening as will you

I agree that letting a few in your audience pres the start button will be a thrill for them. I like the idea of making ornaments for them to hang on their Christmas tree.

Please take some pictures for us to see how it all goes Carolyn. We may get inspired to do something similar in our own different networking groups.

I love the tea towel toppers etc. that you've been doing. I suggest any of the IN THE HOOP designs, especially with a zipper, anything on felt, Christmas ornaments etc. Those gorgeous FSL leaves are great too.

I hope the inmates are all fascinated by your machine, I know I was awestruck the first time I watched an embroidery machine sew out. Great that you are doing this for Frank's nursing home Carolyn, good luck with it all. LoveChris

What a great thing your doing they all will be wrapped to see it in action. What about face washer this could have something small embroidered on it like their initial if you are allowing some hands on experience with a round hole for hanging on a hook.. there was one on dbc a while back not sure of digitizer. the washers can be cut from a towel that way you get quite a few and the edges serged ..
