Did a couple of sets of these incase they would fit over walker handles or on something at the nursing home next Monday .If not they work well on seat belts to stop the belt from hurting your neck .I used the blanket stitch to sew velcro on instead of a straight stitch .???(just something different)I love mine!!Thanks for LQQKING Hugs Carolyn

These look fabulous Carolyn and such a great idea, I have wool seat belt covers for my car as I hate the seat belt cutting into my neck. My dad used to say I had duck's disease - "bum is too close to the ground"! he he he! Love Chris

well we walked maybe 65 minutes today it wasn't windy but only 31f,thats excellent for us!!!

well done, I did see these items sold in shops (mostly designs for children) but I never was thinking about sewing them myselves.
Have some small kids in the family. This will be a nice surprise gift for Christmas. It looks I could use the pattern of a potholder ? or were did you get the pattern ?

If you added some of that rubber shelf liner to the insides it would prevent them from slipping if they use them for walkers. Well done, ~hugs~

Clever idea! While I like the blanket stitch, the edges of velcro can be sharp and might cut the threads when being used, so I'd probably would have done a straight stitch. Just ask the people who use them if they had any problem with them after a while and if they do you can just make adjustments on future ones.
