This is an update on our family of Kookaburras. I posted a picture on the 26th October of the 3 babies, well look at them today!
Steve and Ophelie climbed the tree and took them for me. Love Chris

Great pictures. They look so fluffy. I hope the mother kookaburra keeps away while Son & G daughter were peeping. They can be quite aggressive at times. Hugs

The parent birds were out looking for food, but ours are so used to us they don't attack. On the other hand down in the rose bushes on the arbour in the far right hand corner of our garden there is a nest with 3 Minor bird eggs in it - they fly down as close as they can to you and click their beaks at you! You're welcome Carolyn, these are so cute and you should hear their little warbles when the parents come to feed them. The baby birds are even trained to go to the front of the nest to do their business and the parent birds remove any refuse from the nest. Love Chris

He he he! Thanks Leaha, yes, the birds are a thrill to watch and Steve is such a good Son-in-law to be. Amy and he are getting married in April 2016! Giving plenty of time for the family and friends from the mother land to save up! Love Chris
