Hi Cuties, just made another pair of mittens. My husband went somewhere tonight with my daughter (too cold for me-burrr) . So.. I was going to make Nora some more play food, when I remembered this big piece of fabric. Decided to make me some more mittens. They are rather loud! This fabric has wool in it. #1 hands down #2 Palms up #3 fabric left-EDITED with link to pattern for those that missed it (fayebusby) in the black mittens-Click on link, hover over Free Sewing Patterns and the first thing on the list is Master Index- click on that and it will take you to a photo list, scroll down until you get to Warm Fleece Mittens. They show other nice patterns too.

Thanks, but I don't know why it looks gold in the plaid, maybe it was caused by the flash. It's just black and red colored.

Remember, I was taught at a young age, but I wondered who would notice. Nowadays, bought things sometimes don't match their plaids. Thanks for noticing.

According to the weather, you could use some of these. Show us what fabric you use.

I love the red and black checked fabric. I hope these mittens help you. I think you are doing a great job on them. You'll need to make matching ones for Nora and Avery too.

lol-whoa Karen , remember I'm suppose to be making 'food' for Nora. With this fabric, as small as their hands are, they wouldn't have a plaid or check, maybe a stripe!-lol

Well I would wear them too! Very nice mittens, and with the wool being a natural fiber should be great!!! I wouldn't like pure wool but a blend would be super.

My husband had some wool blankets left from army days at Germany. My daughter and I like to add them on the bed, when it's really cold. They keep us so much warmer. We use to use them in our camper in the winter.

Toot-Toot, Cutie are wonderful. Someone always reaches out, with a helping hand. The internet is a great source for us, but I need Cuties to help me find most things.

Love them. Recycle the old quilted jackets into mittens. This reminds me of the shirt jackets my father used to wear.
