Have noticed and it is not the first time. My grandchildren lives in Sweden. They have asked me to do a hobby horse and a mermaiddress. They are 1 1/2 year and the girl 6 year. How could it be children in one part of the world whant the same as others in another part of the world. Do they get it by TV, by advertising in TV or what. I know, and it is forbidden, in advertisements in TV they could put in pictures so quick that the eyes don´t see it but the brain will notice. Don´t know if I explain correct as the english I use only is what I learned from school

If it is true Anita then it's called subliminal advertising. I don't think it works though unless one is really gullible! Love Chris

Some thing just have a universal appeal. Both horse and mermaids have been popular for many years. Hugs. Nan W

You do very well with English. The internet has made the world much smaller. Something we see on the internet can go around the world in a day now. And many movies are shown all over the world, not just in the country it was made in.

My grandchildren are highly influenced by the commercials that they see on television, although their viewing is very limited, they don't seem to miss anything. They know the latest movies, newest toys and fads. The ones in school also pick up information through being with others on the playground. My observations only.
