That is just beautiful. We don't have Jacaranda , but we do have Wisteria here in the southern U.S.

Lovely tree as long as it belongs to someone else. Make a heck of a mess on your car and if damp can be very slippery to drive or walk over. Sticks to the soles of your shoes and gets walked inside.

We also have a 40 year old wisteria that loves to climb and have one of the more northern Redwood trees in the Southern Oregon Coastal area and when the wisteria is in bloom usually at least twice yearly you can see the greenery and purple/pink blooms climbing half way up our redwood. Ours is still a young redwood of just 50-60 years so does not come close to the majestic Sequoia's of Northern California/ Southern Oregon but love the deep shade it provides and is able to keep the whole back half of the house much cooler in the summer and also warmer in the winter then the lush ferns and hosta's love it also. Keeping the wisteria from going under shingles, roof vents and siding continues to be a challenge. Keeping yours from latching onto that utility pole just a few feet away, I can imagine is a regular chore. We also try to pull ours out of the redwood as much as we can each year. Your wisteria looks so entrenched that it is hard to tell what is the Jacaranda tree and where the wisteria ends, but is very beautiful!

Where I grew up we had front yards full of pine trees full of wisterias for 11 yards and at a certain point in the spring, we were engulfed by purple everywhere we walked or rode our bikes .Eventually they were so huge that they were choking the pines to death, and people started removing the wisteria, one then another. Now it's not nearly so lovely in April.

All I have is pines, and more pines, 3 dogwood that are all but dead. None of them are doing much in the last couple of years, all around here. One of my favorite trees. Years ago I had a beautiful yard with crape myrtle, poinsettia, dogwood, and lots of green things. Had something blooming most of the time. Love nice grass. Green is a good color. Stately to me. These trees are beautiful. And I wouldn't mind getting up the mess. Thanks for the pics.

Beautiful...there is an entire street not far from where I live that is lined on both sides with Jacaranda Trees...beautiful, but very messy!

That is gorgeous. But as you know that's one of my favorite colors. As a matter of fact my crazy brother bought me a purple Christmas tree a few years ago. Nice view outside your window isn't it? Love to all. God bless
