How true this is. People want things but don't expect to pay. Arlene

I so agree with this. Anyone selling at craft fairs, markets should have something like this posted in their area. Thanks for posting it here. Flowers

That would make a nice design! Hang it in my sewing/digitising room to remind myself.
However, I might give the thing away...

Need this digitized for everyone on this forum. We all are asked to do things by friends and family without them taking into account all the factors of designing. Some who digitize, spend even more time than us that purchase designs. Thank you to all the Cuties that digitize designs and give them to us as freebies. You will never truly know your worth to us.
I get frustrated with those closest to me when they do not think of the cost of doing only 3 initials. Bless their hearts. When I remind them of my cost alone not counting my time, they are surprised at the cost.

People at school think, that since I am home during the day, I have time to make what they want. They don't see the cost of stabilizers, threads, etc. and since I usually 'have them already', I guess they think its free. Don't they realize you had to BUY them at one time or other? I would have to wear this on a shirt!-lol

That is so true, I know my friends and EVEN family think because I don't go out to work I have all the time in the world to do everything they ask .

u know the story we sit at home and watch t.v. all day. ehe people think because u have a mashine, the work just comes out the other side by iyself. oh well we all know different.

People are so conditioned to buying cheap products that are mass produced in foreign countries by exploited workers who earn mere pennies for their work that they don't realize what your time is really worth.

This - and all the posted comments- are so true. But honestly, artwork (no matter what type) actually you really can not pay it in total. It would be just to expensive. I think -if you sell things- you mainly just gain the cost of the materials, electricity, checkup of our machine, ....

Couldn't have said it better myself. This should be a design for a T-shirt.
I think I could change the wording a little to include family as well. xxx
