At my Bobbin Lace class today my teacher said a couple from another class gave her this photo of a Baby Carriage and asked me if I knew anything about it. She says it is machine Lace. I have never seen this design but maybe someone else has. Have You?

This is a great group. If you want to know something all you have to do is ask, so hopefully someone will know or even have it in their Stash and let us know where it comes from

I haven't seen it before. It's too bad you couldn't see the real item. I'm wondering if it is hand made.

I am wondering if as crafter2243 says it is possibly from China and mass produced.

It looks hand crocheted to me. I've never seen it before in machine embroidery.

Don't think it is crocheted.

The only thing I could find out about it, that it is being sold as a finished product for $ 1.49. My guess is that it is produced somewhere in China.

Where did you find that it is being sold for$1.49. Even if I can't find the design I can go back and tell them at Lace Class.

Beautiful Lynn, I looked for hours last night and couldn't find it. I'm with Angie, most probably produced overseas. Love Chris

I found it here now for $ 3.59. I am still trying to find the site I had found it before where they were selling it for less. I will keep you posted if I find it.

I found the other site, but there are a lot of copyrighted appliqued items as well why I do not want to post it here.

it looks like tatting to me.

Sorry No it isn't tatting. My Bobbin Lace teacher also teaches Tatting and she would have said. She said it is machine done.

It is a lovely design. I agree, it is no tatting or crocheting, but a nicely digitised and machine-embroidered piece. And unlike the Etsy one Angie found it does not consist of 4 separate pieces, but is made as one piece. Have you seen the wheels and the spring - intertwined, spokes would go flying if a pram were designed like that.

Yes I did notice the wheels. From what information I have been given from Cuties it appears as though this piece stems from China. Possible originated elsewhere.

Martine, I think Etsy means that you will receive 4 Items when you purchase not 4 pieces to make one item. I could be wrong but not going to buy just to find out.
