Taken 40 years ago to the day. We had just emigrated to live in South Africa. My eldest daughter Charlotte, mother of Ben & Georgie and Emma mother of Joshua and Jared. Where have those years gone? Their clothes made by me and the teddy, which was mine as a child is now owned by Georgie.

Beautiful pictures, beautiful memories. I am amazed that the teddy survived. Yes the years just fly.

The teddy still looks very good. It just sits on a shelf and watches the world go by.

How poignant Sarah - I've just come home from my best friend's mother's funeral. Looking at all the pictures of her life bought back many memories of times gone by. We are only on this earth for such a short time, so we should enjoy every minute of it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful picture. Love Chris

What a great trip down memory lane for you. Your teddy brought back my teddy. It was first owned by my older brother who passed it to me and I gave it to my younger brother. What a nice memory to bring back to the surface.

What beautiful memories, and children! That well loved teddy is a reminder of the ties we have from one generation to another and I hope Georgie is telling it's story some day to the next generation.

Lovely picture and memories. My granddaughter has my teddy bear which is 63 years old. I got it for my 3rd birthday. Jack is his name and has many, many memories. There still is nothing like a teddy bear for a child to own. Thanks for posting this, it is great to remember things from our past. Hugs Lynn
