What would YOU do?
I have a bit of a dilemma, and I'm hoping that I get some feedback to this little problem so I can have help making a decision.
My embroidery machine warranty expires on Thanksgiving Day. I know, not very far off. I can either let it expire, and pay $200 for each service thereafter, or extend the service plan for another 3 years for $500. I've had lots of problems with my machine in the past, and the extension seems obvious. BUT, I'm moving in the spring, and this service plan only works with the chain of stores near where I live now. Once I move, a service call would involve a 10 hour round trip drive to drop it off, and then another 10 hours to pick it up (and about 2 weeks in between). I do not believe the service plan is transferable either, should I choose to sell it, which was something else I have considered. I have a Brother 4500D. I would really like to know what you would do if you were in my shoes. Thank you!
I love my Brother machine, and have had no major problems at all, during the many years since its purchase. I chose to keep it when I got my 15 needle machine, as I knew it was still in great condition, and would not get what it was worth. So, I kept it for a backup. Sounds like you got a lemon. Get rid of it! I know you are ready for a different "drink", than lemonade!! LOL
Good luck on whatever you decide!
Hugs, Angel
