Good morning cuties,
Well I am happy to report that my show was a huge success, I exceeded my own expectations and I passed out over 500 business cards. Lots of great comments and compliments which warmed my heart. Made contacts for potential business down the road and from a marketing aspect, I think it will pay off even more.
This show is held in the greenhouse of a huge barn building which houses a huge ''farmers market'' type enterprise specializing in promoting local products and local artisans. It has been open for 3 years now and it's popularity is growing rapidly.
My best opportunity of the weekend was a visit (acutally 6) from the business owner who took pictures and has asked that we meet after xmas as they want to carry my items in their store year round. This is potentially a huge step for me as the visibility is terrific.
I was so excited from all of this, I barely slept Saturday night despite my being physically exhausted.
So that is my exciting news and thanks to all cuties for their enouragement and prayers for a successful show,
''mission accomplished''.

Oh, wow, Michelle!! Getting asked to have your items displayed and sold in an established business setting is the greatest of compliments!! Just be careful to NOT cut YOURSELF short in charging the appropriate amount for your time and talent in making the items. Most stores receive a certain percentage of your sales, or purchase your items to resale, so think ahead on pricing!

Yes I know that is always the Trickey part, my feeling was that he wanted to purchase outright which is the best for me but we shall see. This place gets a lot of tourists as well and that is always fun to see your items going around the world so to speak

Also sold a couple of cosmetic bags and carry all bags (new for me). Oddly enough other than a couple of bibs the baby stuff wasn't moving. On Sunday the baby stuff was going like crazy.
The angels that I made at the very last minute (posted in projects last week) sold very quickly. Too bad I only had time to make 4 but know that next year I will need more.
I would say people looked at everything.

It was interesting to see people's eyes trying to take everything in, I was lucky as I was the only one with sewing items. I have huge plans (the brain is already in overdrive) for next year. You know I turned 57 and was born in 57 this year and so that makes it my lucky year. This is a great start.

The weekend may also bring other possiblities as I did have a vice president of a company talk to me about purchasing my baby gift baskets for their employees. Also had a woman who makes purses come to see me about embroiderying on her fabrics. Was invited to a couple other shows but because of my health issues can't do more than one. Maybe could add one in the spring (for mother's day) but not much more.
An added bonus to the weekend was my daughter spent the two days with me (impossible for me to do this alone) so that was super great.
