Just want to get in early to wish all our American friends a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving for the 25th November.

It's Thanksgiving eve here Tuesday morning 7.30am - just getting my Christmas cake ready to bake and collect our little grand-daughter to go to pre-school.

I want to wish all the Cuties a family and fun filled Thanksgiving and to thank all of you for your continued help and assistance on this wonderful site. May God bless you and yours always, love Chris, Newcastle, Australia.

Chris, a sweet message - thank you!! We will be traveling in less than perfect weather - but, every year, we head to a little German-type Village about 4 hours away - we together with family and enjoy the festive town!! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy your sweet family!! Hugs, Laura*

Ooh! that sounds like so much fun. We unfortunately have it so hot here - it's humid to boot! Makes one feel sweaty all the time - I don't like it!!!!! Have a wonderful time together with your loved ones. Love Chris

Thanks for the warm wishes. I am already doing the cleaning and cooking for Thursday. We have about 20 folks coming so it should be fun.

You sound like me Karen - except I'm doing it for my annual ladies Christmas luncheon! Wow! Having 20 folks I do hope they all help with the food preparation. Enjoy your lovely family time together. We have much to be grateful for. Love Chris

It will be the first time in my 59 years that I will be completely by myself. My husband would always go off on Thanksgiving but he would come home at night but this year just me and Zoey. The kids are going to their in laws and then we will celebrate on Saturday as a family. I was thinking of a cornish hen but didn't even think to allow it in the budget. We will have something. The church down the way delivered a beautiful fruit basket.I was shocked it was a beautiful thought. I promptly set to making a wonderful apple crisp which I enjoyed very much. But thanks Chris hope ya'll have a blessed week.

Oh! dear Ronny, I am so thankful that you received a lovely hamper from Church, how thoughtful of them. At least you will have Zoey with you and you only need another person to be with! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow (for you guys) as it's already the 25th here. Food, laughter a good bottle of wine and stories told are a wonderful thing to enjoy. Life is good, we just need to be thankful for every blessing. Love ya! Chris

WOW WOW WOW! 31 - that's like feeding our little parish family! Again, I hope you will have loads of help in getting this all together. Do you have a lunch (midday) or a dinner (evening) meal? Either way enjoy all the blessings you all deserve. Love Chris

That's a good way to cook a huge turkey too - outside on the Barbie. I've got a double oven, one underneath the other and it's wonderful when the family is here. Steve is a great cook (Amy's partner) but a messy one, so we have stuff everywhere when he takes over my kitchen. I'm a fusspot when it comes to my glass cooktop! He often scratches it, I've got special cleaning cream, but I can still see the marks! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and time together. Love Chris

I am planning to eat out as the rest of the family is scattered for tomorrow. Although, all week I have been cooking some favorites and add a couple dishes each day. Bought a large chuck roast at the grocery store today and Friday I will be back to beef.
This year I am thankful for many wonderful things and I am very disappointed in other things. I do try to stay positive and hopeful! Happy turkey day to all. Gobble til you wobble!!! Kay

Thanks Kay, sounds like you've got it all under control. Those poor turkeys must be shaking on their little legs around this time of year. Love Chris

Thank you Chris, Christie and I had a wonderful day. Today we are going downtown and tonight the city will light up Christmas lights on the City and County building. Christie will miss the parade as that is on the 5th of December. Sunday, we are going to the theater to watch a play about 1 of Santa's Elves and she leaves for Germany on Monday afternoon. Most of the rest of her time will be spent packing all the goodies she is taking home with her. We had a great time!
