I'm still willing to sew them by regular machine for now and havent' tried these but admired them for a long time! It's a large collection. (It isn't just shoes!)

Carolyn, do you know how to get in touch with LenaMae? She makes beautiful doll clothes and she may be able to get you going in the right direction. I have her email and address and I could get in touch with her if need be. I haven't seen her around lately but she could be in the background like I am most of the time. Hugs..Carol

There are lots of free doll clothes patterns on the web. Do a google or other search for them, put in free and you'll be surprised with how many come up.

Did the lady tell you what size doll she wants the clothes for? Dolls nowadays come in lots of different sizes.

Lots of doll patterns and some are ITH, too...you need to know the size of the doll...

i have made some for my granddaughters, but having a doll is a must to try on as you sew. The American Girl is thicker in the middle and the regular 18" pattern does not always fit her. If you don't want to pop the price to buy one or borrow one from some one , I would not attempt to make clothes for her. Barbie is a whole different category. Today's presser feet are too large. If you have a 1/4 inch patch work foot , it will work. Kay

I won't touch Barbie! Too small. However, I have made lots of American Girl clothes for my grands. I just use the patterns from JoAnne's as there are several things in each pattern. The one for "dummies" is the easiest to sew! Think it may be Simplicity.
