Permit me a little bragging about my talented daughter Amy. A week ago Amy came to my house to make some Dirndl style aprons (she didn't want to make a full style one as it is was too much work) Anyway when I came home from my last Italian class (and luncheon) yesterday there she was in my sewing room sewing away madly finishing off the last one. I only helped with a couple of them. I want to say that she did most of them, I did some of the cutting out and the placement of ruffles etc. but Amy did most of them. I'm so proud of her achievements, don't they look cute? These are for her bosses restaurant Das Hund Haus (The Dog House). the picture of Amy in the red one has her wearing a white shirt I made to go under it. I don't know whether James will expect his waitresses to wear this style or not. Love Chris

Her smile says it all! This is exactly how she had envisioned the aprons turning out, if not even better than she had thought! They look very nice and you have every right to brag on her accomplishments!

Thanks columbus, Amy may get there one day. Trevor and I went to Oktoberfest two years ago and had a ball in one of the beer halls.

Thanks Sharon, she chose the 3 main primary colours (Red, Yellow and Blue) and then 1 of the secondary colours in the green. They do look great all together. Love Chris

Thanks Jerrilyn, now that's a thought! We don't normally tip in Australia, it's not a general thing we do. Wages are much higher here than in America. Trev and I noticed it a lot whilst on our overseas holidays, but it was incorporated into our charges most of the time. Love Chris

Thanks so much Sarah, it's great to be able to get some time together sewing. Ophelie sat in there with us and I taught her how to sew by hand along a straight line - well she sort of kept it semi straight!! he he he! Love Chris

she did a terrific job on them & thanks for the tip on the tips lol I didn't know this either. Here in Canada the wait staff gets paid less then minimum wage due to the tipping but even that is higher then the US rate of pay. ~hugs~
