I'm doing a fringe design and I need to have more bobbin thread showing in back to snip it easily. Do I make the tension higher or lower on my Brother 2003D?

The fringe designs are usually digitized so that all you have to do is snip the threads - no adjustment to your machine necessary.

I digitized it myself. I should know this but my brain is confused.
I think I need to loosen it, go to a lower number?
I was able to snip my first stitch out but there was almost no bobbin thread at all so I want a bit more. I suppose I also need to figure out how to fix it in the digitizing but at the moment I just want to fix it at the machine.
Thank you!

Do you have any of that dissolving thread? That is what I used one Easter for chick designs that had fluffy tails. Of course you need to change bobbins during your stitch out so that all the bobbin thread doesn't dissolve when you wet the work.

Great idea! I do have some that I've been wanting to try.
It worked perfectly. Even better than regular thread because I didnt have to pick out the bobbin thread.
I'll check with my digitizing teacher about how to fix it properly but at least my Thanksgiving hostess gift is done for my sister.
