When my niece (cutie joosy) came to visit from up Sydney way a couple of years ago she reckoned I did not do any sewing as my sewing room was too tidy. I have taken these 2 pictures just to show her I do sew and it does get untidy. These are works in progress ready for Operation Christmas Boxes next year. Thought I would make a early start.

You forgot to add the picture where your sewing room was not tidy. ;)
My work in progress can span more than one room...LOL

I did not show the other side of the room that was worse than the mess above. LOL

Oh! come on Shirley, that's not messy! Everything is neat and tidy and in its place! My room at the moment looks like a dog's breakfast! I've got the ladies coming Monday and Trevor and I are cleaning and setting up the back room tomorrow! At the moment I'm in here thinking I need to clean this room up! Love Chris

No sweetie, just close the door!
by shirley124 28 Nov 2014
It just feels cluttered when you walk in the room because of stuff that cannot be seen here. I am thankful that I do have a room where I can just close the door if anyone comes though. Hugs

I can do that! Love Chris

Can not come to my house. My sweetie stands in the doorway and shakes his head. My sewing room is a disaster and I intent to keep it that way! Kay

Well they say a messy sewing room is a sign you have been busy. That's my excuse and I am sticking to it. LOL

Still looks tidy to me. Where are all the spools of thread and stabilizer up around the machines??

Spools of thread and stabilizers are in the other corner behind me.

Still looks incredibly tidy. How I envy you ladies with your sewing rooms. I have to put my machines and all my sewing things away every time I use them. Makes me very tidy thou.

Looks the epitome of tidiness to me! Even your finished articles and scissors are arranged in nice rows.

I like to look at what I have finished. Hubby comes in and inspects from time to time. The scissors are lined up as they are going to be used. No I was not a nurse. I used to watch the Tech at the sewing shop where I worked years ago and I would hand him the next tool he needed and he would ask "How did you know that was what I wanted next" Intuition I guess.

Even your "untidiness" is tidy! I so not even see scraps under the tables! Next you may have to show us your closet!

No the scraps go straight in the bin. The closets may be a different story. LOL

I still don't think you sew in this room, I think this is a 'pretend' sewing room.

How do you use the washing machine? No wonder your room is so nice and tidy you have to share it.
Mine is a disaster area most of the time.
I have a huge cutting table my hubby made me 8 foot by 4 foot and I can leave everything out and I throw a bed sheet over it until I come back.
I have a converted garage just off the house but joined by a patio.

What washing machine. I leave that for hubby. No not really. Wow, how nice to have such a large cutting table. Nice to be able to leave things out and come back to it later isn't it. Shirley

Yes it good to have a room just for your self. Hubby has to walk through though if he wants to go to the sunroom, but his work shop is not all ways tidy either.
