HELP!!!! I just upgraded from a Brother PE 770 to a Pfaff Creative Vision, and now I have several thousand embroidery files in an incompatible format. What, if any, software can I use to convert from .pes (Brother) to .vp3 (new Pfaff)? Alternatively, I have software that will convert from .pes to .pcs, the old Pfaff format. Will the Creative Vision read a .pcs file?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

Your new machine should read your pes files. put a couple on a usb stick and try first.

Your machine should read most formats from the USB - my Husqvarna Diamond does. It may not read the latest version of Pes though, I wouldn't convert to Pcs as that is a very old format and you may lose design detail.

Don't despair. Try the software you have and see if it works. If not we well go to plan B. Worry about that tomorrow!!! Kay

You normally get a free program with Pfaff machines that does the basic
things. It will convert some formats to VP3, but it should read pes. Hope you find the disk.

I have a Viking SE which is now outdated. I reads many formats without software. Put your USB stick in your machine and check to see if it reads other formats.

Let us know what works. I really do think your machine will read your older pes files.

I use and Love Embird. It will do heaps all at once. Otherwise Wilcom will change them for you but you will have to do one at a time, it's free though. At least it was when I got it. I like it and it's mean't for resizing.
Good Luck. Let us know how you go.
