It's that time of year that hubby makes boilo for his co-workers. This year it is Apple Pie A la Mode, and we decided Krampus would be the focus on the bags I made. The design is from Urban Threads, and this was my first time stitching on burlap. 23 bags for the jars in all! I rushed to finish the last ones on Thursday so hubby could give them at work that night. He nicknamed it Coal Country Krampus Cure to keep the Krampus away when he does his rounds on Dec 5th. I wrote the poem also.

I thought it was appropriate for the subject since the Krampus collects the really bad children in a burlap sack to punish them.

This whole thing is so great. You put a lot of thought and work into the gifts. I had to look up boilo to see what that was. Now I want to make friends with you so I can receive this gift. It sounds like a great tradition.

What a great gift idea. I'm assuming the Krampus is the opposite to St. Nicholas - I know the Europeans celebrate St. Nicholas Day on the 6th December. I hope they all appreciate how much work you've put into these gifts. Love Chris

You are correct about Krampus! He's a very mean bugger! My husband works with mostly men. They said thanks and that's nice. I think they appreciate the boilo brew more than the bag, although one still has the Humbug bag I made last year.
