MANY THANKS TO MARTINE (mops) FOR HELPING ME OUT WITH THIS DIGITISING.

This Ham Bag will be going to our best friends in a couple of weeks. Trev and I are taking Mum up with us to visit John and Deirdre just for the day. It was suggested by Amy to make Deirdre a Ham Bag and as I've broken my dongle I asked Martine for help and she so generously obliged.

The design is of the house on their bottles of wine. The homestead is called Montvalley and of course had to have Ham Bag on it too. I added a bit of contrast by using an antique style bit of fabric. I'm thrilled with it. I made it all with French seams for extra strength! Thanks for looking, love Chris

Thanks Martine, everyone I showed it to at the Newcastle Sewing Guild last week (I'd only done the design at that stage and had cut out the floral fabric) said it was a very classy Hambag. I told them all it's going to a very classy lady in Deirdre. Love Chris

You showed me a picture of your tests and it looks even better on the finished bag! I am glad I could help you and hope they love it for that's what makes it worth the time we both spent on it.

You have done an incredible job on this Martine. For the ladies who don't digitise Martine spent ages on the little crosses for the grapevines!!!! I really appreciate all you do for us who don't digitise. You are a real star! THANK YOU once again, love Chris

Thanks Monika, yes it's always something you can use especially around Christmas time when we buy those huge legs of ham. I had one last year and it was well used, not as flash as this one mind you! Love Chris

Hope she doesn't think it is too pretty to use. It is stunning. Hope your friends are surviving the storms with their grapes.

Thanks babash. I think they have mostly missed John and Deirdre's area. They live behind the mountains at Mount View whereas the Polokin and Hunter Valley pick their grapes much earlier! They have been lucky so far as their grapes don't actually ripen till late January/February. Love Chris

Hi Kay, it's for a big leg of Ham. A lot of Aussies buy a leg of Ham and have it over the Christmas holidays. I always buy one and these Calico ham bags stop the Hams from getting slimy! Love Chris
