My first badge!
I was asked to do some patches for a biker group. They specialise in getting disabled bikers back onto the road by helping them modify their bikes.
This patch is 29cm x 28cm and 197 638 stitches... I embroidered for 4 1/2 hours. OH my hat. But I think well worth it.
It is going off to the club tonight to be vetted by the bikers!

Sorry Pam. I'm not allowed to sell any of the badges. They are only sold to disabled bikers who are part of the "ride till we rot" group.
Ok Hope you do well.

Dear Fiona, for your first badge IT IS AWESOME! What did you sew it on, what strength stabiliser did you use for something this dense? Did you digitise this yourself, oh! so many questions. CONGRATULATIONS! It's a real work of art. Love Chris

I didn't use a stabiliser at all just embroidered straight onto the fabric - black drill. I did digitise this myself but also had it checked with a professional company. There are just too many stitches to make mistakes.
When I was finished I cut it out and iron stiff iron on black vilene on the back to hide all the bobbin thread.

All I can say is fantastic work. If they don't like it they are mad. What an excellent job you have done. The stitching is perfect and if you did the digitising as well you are brilliant.

Thanks everyone for the wonderful comments. To be honest I wouldn't even attempt this if I didn't have a 12 needle single head machine. With 9 colours and 20 colour changes it would be a nightmare. It was frustrating just waiting and checking for 4 1/2 hours!!

it looks stunning, well done, you might expect backorders for a lot more! At 4 1/2 hrs each that might keep your machine occupied for days on end.
