Hello, I am very new to embroidery and i would love to create a cool pack for my children. We live in Germany and are constantly reaching for an ice pack. I hate to give it to them wrapped in a towel. Because the ice pack always falls out. But I do not even know where to start at creating my own design. The ice pack is 3 1/2-5 3/4. I thought and eyeglass case might work. But they usually have their own appliques on them. I would like to personalize mine. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Stephennie

I would make an envelop like a mini cushion cover on my sewing machine: A 3.5 by 5.75 piece for the front and two 3.5 by 3.5 squares for the back, so they would overlap. Embroider what ever you like on the front, then sew the thing together. A question of seaming one side of the squares and stitching one continuous seam to stitch the parts together. You could add some sort of closure as well, like snaps or hooked tape. Buttons might be uncomfortable.

I wonder if you might like one of these. They are used as hot packs but could easily be used as cold packs too. Instead of the rice pack, you could insert a freezer ice pack or freeze the rice pack and use it.
There may be other heat packs done ITH (in the hoop) with room for designs out there.
I know these are digitized well, as I have used many of her ITH designs.
