I am sure this has happened to many of you, people see your fabric stash and are speechless other than to say

''what on earth are you going to do with all of that, why do you need so much''?
Well I had a Customer bring me a few items from her new babies room a few weeks ago and ask if I could make her a new baby comforter for the crib (see pic #1),
I needed to find fabric to go with this and guess what I found in my stash. Counldn't get any closer to what I needed than this. I would certainly have spent countless hours (which I didn't have) looking everywhere to find something this appropriate.
So next time you question yourself about purchasing fabric and adding to your already out of control stash, tell yourself ''one day this will be useful and I will have it on hand''. I don't think we ever have too much fabric
and this just proves my point (especially to hubby who just shakes his head everytime I come home with another bag).
I will show you in projects what I came up with once the photos session is over
hugs
Michelle

We are members in the same club. People think I have enough to stock a store. If only that were true. I'm glad you had what you needed.

I have always said that buying fabric is an investment. But I am rather horrified at the amount that I seem to have gained over the years. BUT from seeing this and the super little comforter I now have the excuse to double or triple my stash

My friend the quilter who shall remain unnamed, says he has a trailer full of fabric, because he never buys less than 3-4 yards at a time. Glad I usually buy a fat quarter or a fatter half! He says he probably has 20-30 quilts hiding in that trailer, but usually buys sashing as he goes.
