Also at the Market yesterday a young Lady who is having a new house built asked if I am able to make Kitchen hand towels to order. I said it depends on what colour towels are available. She wants a teal Towel with Teal and Purple embroidery and possibly owls. These are the colours of her Kitchen. She decided it will be best to wait until the home is finished

I think also it would be better to wait as she may change her mind in between times or the teal color may not be available. it was nice of her to give you a future order and something to appreciate this young woman's good taste!

I can guarantee that she will not come back as I have never seen her before and not sure where or when her house is being built.

I'd show her some of the pictures of towels with material edging-either flat or ruffles, and a design that might include applique using that, but on a white towel so it shows up. Good to plan ahead as long as you can.

She looked at my Hand Towels and loved them and this is why she asked.

I would ask her to get the towels when she is ready.
I know from experience that the colour they imagine they want isn't always available.
I did some towels for my Cousin a dark Purple and a light Purple. Her friend loved them and wanted me to do some for her. Trouble is she wanted a shade in between those colours. Not available.

I don't think they realise that not everything in life is available.

I would suggest she supply the towels and then I would get a minimum of 50% deposit for your embroidery charge upfront...I would also select several designs and send her a PDF of them and let her pick the ones she wants...custom orders can be a bit tricky with come customers...

Think I will wait until she approaches me again.

Lyn, I do a lot of towels for family ONLY. I prefer to buy the towels myself, therefore if the machine "stuffs up" they are my towels and I know where I can get more of the same towels. Sometimes as new homes are being built colour schemes can change. Hugs Marg

I have just made a lot of Black Towels as I was told that Black Kitchens are the in Thing. Must take a photo.

That sounds like a fun conversation, maybe it will go somewhere.

I can't imagine Teal and Purple together in a Kitchen. Maybe I am too oldfashioned.

I think the colors will be great! Sometimes it depends on the intensity of the color combination.

Realise I have some towels that can be classed as Teal even thought it might be light Teal.
