It's lovely Sue. As a child I had a beautiful red sweater that had these designs along with hearts and reindeer, it was a fave of mine. Haven't had anything like it since but love the designs. I did not know they were called Assisi work although I am familiar with St Frances of Assisi. I'll look it up/Lillian

Assisi work is cross stitch where only the background is stitched.
Thanks for sharing this info as I was also in the dark as to what this form was.
