Tablerunner to test the in-the-hoop piecing technique by Sharon Schamber...I did modify it a bit when I actually stitched the blocks together...jury still out on whether I actually like this technique...block front fabric is cut 1/2 inch larger and when it is sewn together, the excess becomes the back "sashing" to cover the back seam edges...but I think the block feather design is beautiful...

Thanks, Carolyn...I am still trying to "like" the block joining for the quilt as you go stuff...but must admit...I still like the old traditional way of putting together a quilt then quilting it...it is what I do the most...but keep trying to experiment...hoping I will come across a quilt as you go joining that I like!

Thanks...makes me wish I had used better fabric..it was only a test...so I didn't "fuss" over the fabric...just quilters muslin...
