Sometimes a company only puts one design even though it is zipped. We need a little bit more info to be able to help. Can you give us an example. Do you see any files after you unzip?

.ngs is an extension for the embroidery program Wings.
You can use that program to translate the files into something you can use.

I think it is the association to the wing program. maybe rescuer will come back to help you with this.

Any program that hijacks files and changes them all, I would delete and restore my computer to a previous date. Free or not. I did some searching for discussions on this because I know it's happened to others here, but can't seem to come up with the right combo of words to get an answer.
For less than $100 you can get SewWhat Pro from Sandscomputing that will edit, convert files, etc. Plus famous support.

Do you have the Wings program on your computer?

I've been using Wings My Editor for several yrs..not necessarily for conversions, but there are other features I like to use . This has never happened to me, but just guessing, it sounds like it is set as the 'default' program. Where are you d/loading the designs to? I D/L all mine to a ''downloads'' folder in My Documents. I can then take them to whichever program I want to use for reformatting, resizing, color change, etc. Would be glad to help you if I tho't I could. The best suggestion is to restore your computer to an earlier date --preferably when this was not happening.
