I made it up, I have made many hats in my life so this was right out of my head. I'm sure if you google free sewing hat patterns you will find a wide variety to choose from. It's basically a tube that you cut @ the top with a plate to make it round & then it is sewn like a T with intersection @ the top, He sergered all the edges & then made a small hem @ the bottom & flipped it to make the cuff go upwards with no visible seem showing.
