Sewing machine mat......well all the Christmas orders done and delivered...so it is time i made something for me it was made fom re quiled calico has several pockets on he side for tools and a larger one on e front and a large bound buttonhole for he cords the design is one of Kara's kreaions (I think) ...soozie

You've done a great job of this. The design on the front makes me think of a pincushion, which made me wonder... where do you put your pins? Might need a matching one :) I also wish my sewing table was that neat!

Very nicely done. I need to do this for my machines. I never make anything for myself. Next year will be different. I'm moving into my own sewing room in the new year and I WILL be making these for me. Thank you for the inspiration. :)

I love this one and must try and make one too, but wonder how you did the binding where the bag joins onto the top, thanks for showing

Thanks edith. make the back pocket about 1/2" longer than the front bind the top of the front pocket then sew front and back together(the extra length should be at the top edge of the back pocket) and bind three sides leaving top raw then place the raw edge of the pocket under the mat with the wrong sides together and stitch it onto the mat then bind around he whole mat when finished the front pocket should be in the correct position ...if you need more info pm me...soozie
