My kids are grown, and we don't have any grandchildren (yet) but I wanted to share something both my daughters have said that they want to do when they do have kids--instead of buying a lot of gifts, they want to do this: 4 gifts--one you like, one you need, one to wear, and one to read. Want to keep Christmas about Jesus. I'm so proud of the women they've become.

You have every right to be proud of them. I think those are perfect gifts in this world that is obsessed with consumerism.

What great thoughts. Good for them. You must have raised your daughters to appreciate who they are what they have.

This is exacting what my daughter and son-in-law have done for our little granddaughter. I think it is a great idea. Plus we gave her gifts just as her other grandparents did. It is a grand idea!! Hugs, Laura*

I am so glad to read this. You can be proud of them. Hopefully they will be able to stick to it once they have children.

Great idea.. good tratiditon to start now..... We never got many gifts one we wanted within reason. some stocking stuffers also. My parents were not rich. I would include one for someone who has nothing, Just my thought I think it is great to stick to the reason for the season...Suzanne

Nice to read. Children have too much "Stuff" now. A generation of too much stuff. The kids are not leaving home and instead of working and paying their own way. They are buying stuff. Kay

How good to learn there are young people not thinking all "material"
and I am quite confident they follow the steps of their mom in this.
Wishing you all a Happy 2015 and maybe one day there will be little
ones too
