Good Morning Cuties (Dec 29,2014) This is a bathroom set, I got for a Christmas present. Shower curtain,rod,hooks,5 hand towels to match, a bath mat and window curtain. I posted in Sewing to tell you the window curtain was 2 panels, 63 in length, with a rod casing and about a 2in header. I didn't need that length so here is what I did. I kept the original hem and measured for there up for my new length. I cut it there and remade me a new rod casing with just a 1 inch header. With the top part I cut off, I ripped out the original casing and pressed it before I cut off a 4 inch strip, on each panel, for my tie backs. With the rest I made another rod casing ( I have a double rod for window) and made a 1 1/2 inch hem. I used every inch of this 63 in curtain. Nothing fancy but color matches well and I do like a bit of color in the window.I like the shower curtain and the colors. I will try a close-up.I also show just the topper. I like a lot of light coming in, maybe it is old age and helps me see, but light also makes me feel good, not dark and dreary. I also, like the woodwork to show and I have deep 6 in window sills, walls. I like it and I think this makes for a nice change in my bath.-Toogie

This all together looks very nice. I like the window in the last pic the most, you are right this way you have much more light in the room. The colors make a good match with the room.
Wish you a happy new year, Bärbel

I agree about needing the light. I have a friend whose husband suffers from depession, off and on. Her home is dark, they have a lot of shade, oak trees, around the house and she has the blinds closed most of the time, so its really dark. I would be depressed too!

Thanks Kim. So sorry I haven't posted my SB photos. I have been waiting for my daughters better pics but they haven't been around since I am sick. If she doesn't come soon, I'll just post what I have.

Love what you were able to do with the curtain, it looks as if it came that way and no one will be the wiser. Colors go well in you bathroom. Lovely woodwork. hugs

Thank you. My husband and I both like wood and wood trim. I know most of the new homes here are sheet rock, and the trim is a pressed wood that is painted, if they use molding/trim at all. We prefer the wood, and paint or polyurethane that. Good thing we like the same-lol

I too prefer the window without the side curtains. It makes the room so lovely and light. I love the varnish on the wood it is so shiny. Would make it easy to keep clean. I too love the shower curtain, how wonderful to be able to read words of encouragement whilst having a refreshing shower! Happy New Year to you Toogie and God bless you. Love Chris
