I had to say good bye yesterday to an old friend who had spent many an hour stitching with me. But what joy that I could replace that Madiera thread cone 1802 with a new cone and keep on stitching. I am so grateful that I have stocked up on thread, fabric and stabilizer so I don't need to wait when I want to do a project. When I stop to think about how blessed I am with my machines and supplies and designs, I get overwhelmed. It could be so different for me and I am very aware that many wish they had half of what I have and take for granted. Thank you to all Cuties who are there with comfort and prayers and advice. We are all so blessed to be Cuties.

You have such a kind heart and you do so much good with your machines!
I know not everyone has all that you have but not many of us have lived the life of a military wife. Your sacrifice for all those years tells me you deserve your machine and all the related supplies as well as any comforts you have. You have earned them and many many more.
I am very glad you are a Cutie and I am thankful for all you contribute here on Cute.

What color is 1802? Must be a favorite.

I have been at the end of a cone of Natural White and a cone of Snow White for two months and can't seem to finish them off. Maybe one more snowman, with shadows?

We are all blessed, just differen

I think we all have favorite cones of thread and I have a couple that have given me grief. Some of my older snap on bottoms have broken and i am afraid the thread will not run off the spool as smoothly. I still love my RA rayon thread the best. I know that polyester is the latest but i am partial to my RA rayon. Kay

I have often had the same thoughts. I feel so blessed that I can spend my retirement years being happy with my machines and supplies. My craft room is my happy place. At times I even have a a bit of a guilt feeling at my extravagance. Does not last very long though.
I feel blessed to have found this community and have made some very dear friends, some I may never meet. since they live on another continent, but i find comfort in their friendships. Some I still hope to be able to get together with. I am thankful for my Cutie friends and to Miss Veronika who makes i possible.
Wishing all a blessed 2015

Life is a blessing and I have been blessed by participating in this site more than words can say. As for my thread I love it when I finish a spool. I have plans for the empty cone. I also feel a bit accomplished and grateful I did get multiples of the Christmas colors! I am still flying through bright white more than the any other.

When I read the first sentence I thought: oh, no, not another death. But after that enjoyed what you wrote.
I, too, feel blessed for the same reasons and giving away my projects and/or my time makes me really happy.
Have a blessed 2015.
